The blank volume was sold to Bidwell family members by Frederick David Bidwell; he would then periodically send these relatives printed articles to paste in the scrapbook. This particular scrapbook contains articles on the third and fourth Bidwell Association reunions, and on various Bidwell ancestors. The volume also includes a Buffalo Female Academy grade report for Jennie Wilson, some notes and clippings regarding the Bidwell family, and a letter from Frederick David Bidwell to Miss [Grace Carew] Sheldon, mentioning that he is mailing her a copy of the scrapbook and that she should someday pass it on the the Buffalo Historical Society.
